ChemCon Europe 2023 in Vienna

ChemCon 2023 took place in Vienna from October 23 to 27. This conference brings together many experts from companies, authorities, and international organizations. The focus focus is the field of chemical legislation all over the world such as EU-REACH, UK-REACH, TSCA, K-REACH, GHS, upcoming PFAS regulations and many more.

Rethinking Registration Data Sharing

At ChemCon 2023, there were presentations that shed light on the challenges of data sharing especially in the context of the Türkiye KKDIK and Korea REACH. As the field of chemical legislation continues to evolve, the need for efficient and effective data sharing becomes paramount.

In his presentation, Markus Pogrzeba discussed strategies and solutions to overcome these challenges. In the context of REACH, the companies must follow the principal "one substance, one registration". Companies must therefore share data and do joint submissions.

The main process for registering a substance is similar for most REACH-like legislation. It is a costly, time-consuming process involving many documents, systems, and stakeholders.
