Latest Release: opesus EPN for PCN - Version 4.0
With less than a month to go to the first Poison Center Notification deadline, opesus EPN for PCN format version 4.0.00 brings with it several great new features and improvements. This include small improvements that bring great convenience, such as being able to view, with one click, the submitted dossier directly in the ECHA Submission Portal. Read on to see the other new features available.
Support for PCN Format 3.0 and EuPCS 2.0
This latest software release creates poison center notifications in the new PCN format 3.0. PCN format 3.0 includes the new field for pH justification. The PCN format 3.0 has been published since 28th October 2020 and contains the latest IUCLID phrases.
Additionally, the latest European Product Categorisation System (EuPCS), version 2.0, is also included in this latest release. EuPCS codes that are obsolete have been removed, and the phrase descriptions are now available in all the official EU languages.
Submit Voluntary Submission
You can now create a voluntary submission that is compliant with the poison centre requirements, leaving out optional fields. This means that voluntary submission with less data, such as without pH value or justification, physical state, color, toxicological information, use type and main intended use can be submitted directly from your SAP EH&S system to the ECHA Submission Portal using opesus EPN.
Process Automation: Approve and Submit Notifications
So many products and so little time? With this new feature, you can set up your system to automatically approve and submit PCN notifications to the ECHA Submission Portal. Of course, only notifications that comply with the validation rules will be automatically sent. Additionally, you can configure the system by defining the criteria that should be met to allow automatic submission of PCN notifications to the ECHA Submission Portal such as county or legal entity.
Process Automation: New Notification After Significant Change of Composition
With this new process automation feature, the system searches for new instances in the poison centre composition. If you are familiar with opesus EPN, the PCN ruleset generates a new instance of PCN composition that is included in the submitted dossier. This new feature automatically searches for new instances of PCN compositions, and creates new notification requests if previous notifications have been sent. This means that in case a composition of a mixture has been changed significantly, new notifications will automatically be created thus saving you the time and effort of manually examining if a new notification is required.
