At the SAP Sustainability Innovation Days 2019, we shared the stage with Merck. This two-day event on November 5th and 6th brought us the latest news on S/4HANA for Product Compliance & EHS accompanied with several customer presentations.
We were happy to be back in the company of familiar names, former colleagues, and friends. Very relevant for us and our customers was the road map for SAP S/4HANA for Product Compliance shown by Ralf Coenning, Chief Product Owner at SAP. It was very interesting to see the road map from a customer’s experience. Dr. Jörg Spanke from BASF and his keynote, “How to Prepare for Something Completely Different?” showed us just that. The short answer: be as agile as possible and keep in close contact with SAP.
Our highlight was having the honor to share the stage with Ms. Ingrid Dörner from Merck Performance Materials. Ms. Dörner presented Merck’s journey on complying with the requirements of CLP Art. 45 Poison Center Notification using our opesus EHS Product Notification (EPN) solution.

Mark Pfister, our consultant who supports Merck with implementations, showed the audience how opesus EHS Product Notification (EPN) software works. With opesus EPN, you can create dossiers in the right format and simply upload them to the ECHA Submission Portal. He further explained that with the upcoming version of opesus EHS Product Notification, customers will be able to use system-to-system integration to directly upload dossiers to the ECHA Submission Portal.
